Dr. Pierson grew up in southeastern Ohio and slowly moved west, completing medical school in Toledo Ohio and residency here in Indy at Indiana University. She made a small detour south for fellowship training in Louisville Kentucky and then returned to practice in Indianapolis.
She is passionate about offering kind, compassionate fertility care and is committed to helping each patient find the plan that works best. When you see Dr. Pierson in the office, you will often hear her say, “Will you share your story?” – because she wants your fertility plan decision to be made on a personalized level and with your history and goals always in mind. She has a particular interest in education of women about reproductive health and sees patients with a variety of health issues across the spectrum of reproductive endocrinology.
She is particularly interested in IVF and advanced fertility treatments, reproductive surgery, and fertility preservation, and she welcomes patients who identify as LGTBQIA+. Dr. Pierson is dedicated to practicing evidence-based medicine and has authored and mentored authors of many peer-reviewed publications and presentations at scientific meetings.
She continues to be active in mentoring of medical trainees and is involved in multiple medical resident research projects. She holds a gratis faculty appointment in the University of Louisville’s Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women’s Health and has been recognized for her mentoring with the ACOG Mentor Award and the Outstanding Fellow Educator of Residents award.
She lives with her family in Indy and when not practicing medicine enjoys knitting and gardening.
